A Knife Gate Valve is a type of industrial valve designed for on-off and isolation services for industries such as pulp and paper, slurry processing, water treatment, and mining, where fluids are thick, viscous, or contain solids. It features a sharp-edged gate or plate (resembling a knife) that can easily cut through solids and debris, preventing the valve from getting blocked or failing to seal. Its design is lighter and more compact than gate valves. When fully open, it provides unobstructed flow, minimizing pressure drop.
We offer a variety of knife gate valve models to meet specific needs, including rectangular types, hybrid pneumatic-manual operation, and dual-actuator versions. These valves are available with various connection types, such as 150LB, PN10, PN16, and JIS 10K flanged ends, and can be equipped with Teflon, Viton, EPDM, or metal seats to accommodate different operating pressures and temperatures up to 350°F (177°C). Constructed from stainless steel, carbon steel (WCB), cast iron (FC), or ductile iron (FCD), they are built to suit a wide range of industrial environments.
Our knife gate valves are appreciated for their reliable shut-off capability, durability, and effectiveness in handling tough and solid-laden media. Their versatility and robust design make them ideal for industries requiring dependable isolation and control of challenging fluids, providing solutions for both straightforward and complex systems.
